How to start your diet 101

Whether its your goal to gain or lose weight here is something to think about. I have seen so many people go on diets far to restrictive and fail. They don't get healthy to lose weight they try and lose wight to get healthy. This is the exact opposite of what you should be doing. Metabolism, cortisol, thyroid function and insulin are just a hand full of things that deal with your body weight and how you are healthy. Here is a simple way to start fixing your diet. Get an app like myfitnesspal to keep track of what your eating. I like this app because it is free and easy to use. It scans food bar codes and lets you pick the serving you have had. Another way to go is just writing down every meal with a paper and pencil. This will make you a more conscious eater. After about a week try changing one bad food for a healthier choice. The could be diet soda instead of normal soda. Do this each week until you feel that your diet is were you want it. If you feel like you are eating right and still not losing weight then you should look into intermittent fasting. This is just one strategy I have used to get healthy. There are many great diets with ways to lose and gain weight. Remember your goal should not be weight loss especially if your just starting a new diet. Get healthy to lose weight don't lose weight to get healthy.
